SDG HS 300 KT is designed for the transport of swap bodies. The integrated pneumatic lifting swings enables a continuous admission of the different loading heights and a driving on a steady low. The arms are flange-mounted and allow to pick up containers with an adjustable height up to 1020-1320mm and lengths C 7.150 – C 7.820. The standard type is equipped with a low coupling for ZAA use.

GROWTH NEEDS SPACE

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new SDG production and assembly hall finally took place on 11th of June at the SDG factory site.

From October 2021, seven modern assembly stations and work areas for preparing components for final mounting will be put into operation on 1,600 square metres. Equipped with two overhead cranes, fully digitalised order management and optimum tooling, a maximum of efficiency will be achieved in the assembly of SDG swap body systems. In the future, the electricity demand for the entire production will be covered by a 100 KWp photovoltaic system in a climate-friendly and CO²-neutral way.

A truck parking area for up to 80 vehicles was already completed in May and ensures the safe parking with comprehensive video and infrared monitoring.

The investments in the SDG location, where over 40 people are employed, create the necessary conditions to keep pace with the rapid development and enable further growth.

NEW GENERATION OF SWAP BODY SYSTEMS

We at SDG look back on an extraordinary event with great gratitude and joy! During three days of the fair we were able to welcome our guests at our location in bright sunshine. On Monday, September 21st, we presented our company and various innovations to an interested audience at an extremely successful kick-off event.

The highlight of the presentation was the release of the latest generation of the patented height adjustable carrier beam (KHV120) for parking heights from 1120 mm to 1320 mm. This carrier beam represents a completely new stage of development and, although it is height adjustable, does not require any free installation space below the upper edge of the frame. It is therefore suitable for all drive concepts and allows maximum tank volume.

After the presentation, numerous exhibits of all chassis manufacturers with SDG swap body systems and innovations could be viewed on the outdoor area.
